Geneva 2010: presentation of the new facelift of the Toyota RAV-4 |

Every now and am pleased to talk to Toyota without having to announce the latest chapter in the saga of the withdrawal, "which involved the Japanese. In Geneva, therefore, we are happy to see the European debut of the new facelift of the RAV-4 SUV that, compared to its previous version ends up with a new nose, some internal changes and, above all, different technical solutions that have reduced the CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.
The hood and grille have been redesigned and is also the new LED lights. The last touch is given by the bumper, which includes, all in the design decisions taken by the latest Toyota models. Within the biggest change concerns the coverage of the seats, now in leather and Alcantara.
There are two engines for the European market: the 2-liter four-cylinder 158 hp and the 2.2-liter D-4D in the range from 150 to 180 hp.

The Volkswagen Amarok is the new pick-up from the German, that after the public presentation at the recent Geneva Motor Show, is now ready for the official launch in Europe. It is a powerful pick-up and strong, with a payload up to 1,147 kg and a comfort and maneuverability such that it can be used as an alternative to SUVs. It will be available at launch in four-door crew cab version in the future, in the two single doors.
Under the hood beats the heart of 2-liter common rail TDI with 163 hp and can develop a maximum torque of 400 Nm Powerful, but from the heart clean, since it consumes only 7.5 liters of fuel per 100 km. Will there be a second engine, which will be launched later, with a four-cylinder TDI with 122 hp and 340 Nm, with a consumption of 7.5 litres/100 km. I will be offered both with four-wheel drive, both with the cheapest 4 × 2. With regard to the preparations, you can choose between three alternatives: the base, the Trendline and Highline, the most sophisticated and more attentive to the comfort. |

Nissan announced the facelift of the European Pathfinder SUV and Navara pickups "2011" |

In the name of the competition between brands, Nissan has decided to launch on the European market the facelift of the Pathfinder SUV and Navara pickups, announced as models for the series 2011. There are several improvements and additions made to the two media, not least the two new engines available: a 3-liter V6 diesel and a 2.5-liter updated, this diesel. For the first time, however, the Pathfinder and Navara will be available with the engine created by the alliance of Nissan with Renault of France: the 3-liter V6 direct injection turbodiesel, which we also see EX30d Infiniti models, and FX30D M30d. This special heart models Nissan would build a power of 231 hp and maximum torque of 550 Nm between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. According to the promises of the Japanese, the Pathfinder should be well able to drag a braked trailer up to 3,500 kg, while the Navara would be up to 3,000. The original 2.5-liter engine, however, has been enhanced and taken to raise its performance by 11%, for an overall total of 190 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Despite these upgrades, however, Nissan has tried to settle the efficiency of the two models (an obvious choice, since the nature of their SUVs and pickups make them particularly "heavy" nature of them). The parent company ensures that the two vehicles can travel 100 kilometers on 8.5 liters of fuel and CO2 emissions that fall from 224 g / km to just 40 g / km.
Speaking of style, both models have changed the hood, grill, headlights, fenders and new designs of wheels. Inside we see the updated console, new references of color, new fabric on the seats, chrome controls and calls, depending on the model, the special Nissan Connect Premium touchscreen with high resolution. Also added the ESP system and rear view camera (this only on the Navara). The two models will of course be presented at the next Geneva Motor Show, with a launch in all dealers Nissan scheduled for next April. Two months later, will also be available for both ranges also the version with the aforementioned 3-liter V6 diesel.

Nissan, three new to Los Angeles Motor Show 2010 |
The carmaker Nissan Japan has officially announced the volume of its presence at the Show in Los Angeles, the North American automotive event to be held November 19 to 28 this year. We have already had occasion to speculate on some of the innovations of Nissan. The event will be used by the Japanese manufacturer to present Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet: This seems to be the name of the Murano SUV convertible version, variant repeatedly inserted as the most diverse voices. Still, we do not know exactly what is the manner in which the automaker has merged with details off-road features typical of convertibles.
Next to the new Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet, the manufacturer will show the final version of Nissan Leaf, the first electric car brand. Moreover, there seems to be room for a concept car called Nissan Ellure, which anticipate a sedan, until now remained mysterious and that image can be more precisely, a four-door coupe with EV. |
